New PhotowalksTV episode: Taos
New Mexico town has best skies, great art, photogenic masterpieces
The New Mexico journey continues this week in Taos, the small town in the northern part of the state that is one photogenic masterpiece!
Just ask Ansel Adams and Georgia O’Keefe.
It’s in Taos where I’ve consistently found those huge expansive skies that I love, a historic 1,000 year-old plus Pueblo, great art, more amazing food (“red or green chili?”) incredible old adobe buildings and just the best light. It’s my favorite place in New Mexico to photograph.
Local photographer Kevin Anderson joins me in Taos to show off some of his favorite off the beaten path Taos photo spots. Hint: they’re worth the drive!
Thanks to Paul Ellis, who provided the cool slide guitar on the soundtrack of this episode, which is presented by Flipboard. I’m playing acoustic right behind him.

And I see that I clicked on the Bosque link before I watched the video at the top! Not sure how I did that, but now I've watched your lovely photo walk and I really learned some things! I love the long cloud roll. I know that feeling of looking for an opening with no power lines. It really did seem to handle that sunset with better color than my iPhone XS. This is another place I've always wanted to go and now I know more. That gorge is beautiful. It's also super cool that you are highlighting local photographers. Thank you!
Thanks for watching both Karen! Too much fun to roam the land and meet fellow photographers. I love it--and thanks so much for commenting. Fellow Substacker?
