Hi Jeff, in Barcelona the pickpocketing is located in few places, like La Rambla, plaza de Cataluña, etc where the masses of tourists are, but as you mention is generally safe. What a trip!!! Thanks for sharing!!! ,cheers

I have a phone necklace that 1. keeps me from dropping my phone in a canal 2. makes it harder to snatch from my hands. Never had a phone theft nor felt unsafe in Barcelona (my new favorite city) but this is sage advice. Particularly liked the headphones for maps idea as I definitely walked through the streets holding my phone! Safe travels and looking forward to the new episodes!

Sure, it will be safe. If you have time, visit Gaudi’s park Guell. Beautiful view of the city and the sea.
I always use a wrist strap, even at home! Against dropping but it would also help v thieves.

I once had my iphone4 pickpocketted from me on a crowded bus in London. Never felt a thing!
I made the mistake of falling asleep on a London bus once. When I got off the bus, I was a little lighter. Camera gone!
